Monique fled from rainy Western Oregon to sunny Southern California to improve her climatic surroundings and chances at an acting career. She came to Playboy's attention through a photographer boyfriend. As Playboy's Richard Fegley tells it: "Another photographer called me up and said, 'I have a girlfriend who thinks she can make it as a Playmate, but I don't want anybody else but you to shoot her, because I know you're married and you won't hit on her. Can you meet us at the Hughes Market parking lot at three o'clock this afternoon?' So I met Monique, did a test shooting and she was accepted. Her gatefold, all wet and steamy in a shower door, is one of my favorites." 

Since debuting in Playboy, Monique has appeared in movies and television shows, performed with Playboy's Girls of Rock and Roll at Army bases in Germany, sung the National Anthem at sporting events and pulled her hair out for a TV infomercial. She has been in demand for personal appearances ranging from Glamourcon sessions to promotions in Argentina, Paraguay, Spain and Mexico.
