Sal Mineo

Sal Mineo was an actor, best known for his part in "Rebel Without A Cause". He was renting an apartment in West Hollywood and was coming home from the Westwood Playhouse where he was in rehearsals for the play, "P.S., Your Cat Is Dead".
At approximately 11:30PM on Thursday, February 12, 1976, he was about to enter his apartment when a man stepped out of the dark...with a knife, demanding money.
A neighbor heard him screaming. "HELP! HELP! Oh my God!"
The mugger disappeared back into the shadows. When help arrived, it was too late. Sal died 5 minutes later at the age of 37. For 2 years the case remained unsolved and the trail was growing cold fast. It has been reported by residents of the area that there is a coldness in that area of the car park, especially at night. There had also been several reports of seeing Sal's restless ghost wandering the lot at night.
Finally, a break in the case came in 1979. A carreer criminal by the name of Lionel Ray Williams was heard bragging about the murder in the state pen. He was extridited, tried and convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 51 years to Life. (He got out in 25, but was soon once again behind bars for armed robbery and parole violations).
The ghost of Sal Mineo has not been seen or heard of since. It is believed that since his killer was finally caught and brought to Justice, he is now at rest, gentle readers.
